Junior Madylena Perez is seen here posing with a couple of her friends with the metal they got after they won the game. "I get along with everyone on my team but I absolutely love playing with my two best friends, Campbell and Bianca." Campbell is seen on the left side of Mady, but Bianca is not in this photo.
The varsity girls soccer team won their game against Palm Harbor University High School with a score of three to one. Madylena Perez, a junior at Sunlake High School is on the varsity soccer team. She got to play right and left outside back in the event, which are the positions she typically plays. The champion league finals took place at the AI Lang Stadium, which was very thrilling to Mady and her team. When Mady plays for Sunlake, she is excited and confident because she feels it is a great way to support her school. She stated, “I love this team so much and I’m so grateful to play with these girls. Our team communicates well on and off the field, and we all just have great chemistry together.” Mady has major goals for continuing her playing career outside of high school where she hopes she can receive a scholarship to a division one university. “I haven’t received any offers yet from any schools, but I also still don’t know what school I want to be involved with yet. When the time comes, I hope I have a few options for universities,” said Mady.
