The yearbook class has a lot of newbies this year. One of these special participants is Gabrielle Jackson! Gabby is a sophomore and is taking lots of honors classes. She wants to further her education at the University of Florida. Her dream job is to be a mechanical design engineer. They are responsible for the initial design of products. Gabby is an Xcel Dimond in gymnastics. She started when she was six years old and spend fours hours, four days a week practicing for this extortionary sport. When asked why she was taking yearbook, Gabby responded, “I wanted to be more involved with the school.” which is a great answer. In yearbook, Gabby will get the opportunity to interview all kinds of different students who do different things and write exciting stories about them. She will even get to exercise her spectacular photography skills. Gabby is aiming to do sports photography this year. Photography is something she has been doing for about three years now. One day, Gabby stated, “I found my grandpa’s camera and started taking a bunch of pictures.” She loved it so much that she kept with it for all these years and turned it into a big part of her life. Last year Gabby took Mr. Webster’s Digital Design 1 class. She enjoyed the class a lot and said, “It was very fun, and I got to learn useful tools that I could use in yearbook.” Gabby is looking forward to making new friends and capturing new memories this year in the yearbook class. She is excited to get to work during fourth period and help make this years book fantastic. We welcome Gabby with open arms and can’t wait to see all her amazing work!
