School’s back in session here at Sunlake and everyone is so excited to be back. Everyone always has a different experience, whether it’s a good day because you were able to meet up with your friends you haven’t seen over the summer, or a bad day because school is school no matter what grade you’re in or how old you get. No matter what your experience, the first day is always a special one. After being in ninth grade, Sophomore Joshua Rogerson, “loves being in tenth grade now”. After the first day of school, Joshua described it as a good day. He was glad to be, “walking around new classes, meeting new teachers and seeing friends,” after such a long, yet exciting summer. He lucked out and managed to get Ms. Birch for English 2 since she was his “favorite teacher already”. Not many of us are lucky enough to get put in some of our favorite teachers’ class. Even though Freshman year is a special one, Joshua loves his schedule now that he is sophomore.
With the new year comes new experiences, new friends, and new teachers. Many of us love our schedules because of how flexible they’ve become, or because we managed to end up in a class with people we know and not complete strangers. Whatever the case may be, the future seems bright for all of the students here at Sunlake. Soar high Seahawks!
