Senior year can be full of emotions such as excietment, happiness, sadness, and essentially any emotions you could possibly feel. This is because it is a beginning of an end. It is the end of your childhood and the start of being a adult and having your own responsibilities. That is what senior year represents- the beginning of the end.
For senior year, there are many events to participate in throughout the year to make the most of it. The second event for this year was senior painting. This event is where seniors get to design their parking spot and paint a design that means something to them. It allows creativity and expression from students to share their ideals and beliefs. One of the hundreds of parking spots done by seniors was senior, Addison Titchener. She said that it was, “extremely hot but I still enjoyed it.” This year there were two days to paint the parking spot. Addison said, “it took me only one day to paint it unlike others, but it took around 6 hours in the heat”. In Florida, the heat is no joke. It can be draining and easily cause dehydration as well as dizziness. Addison, “design inspiration was a shark, because it is my favorite animal, so I thought that it would represent me well.” The parking spot is supposed to mean something to you and be something you can look at and feel good about. Addison said, “for my last year, I wanted my spot to be special to me and something that I would enjoy,” just like everything else.
Painting the parking lot is one of the many events that will be held for seniors. Another event this year is grad bash, which Addison is looking forward too. She also claims, “I can’t wait to be able to spend one of my last few weeks of senior year with some of my best friends. I hope to make final memories for this last year.” Just like everyone else, Addison wants the make this year memorable. She claims, “I want to get the most out of the year and spend time with my friends before the next chapter.” The next chapter could be college, athletics, or even straight into to the workforce.
