On August 6th, at Sunlake High School, junior, Olivia Kazimierczuk met her teachers for this school year. When she went back to school to meet her teachers, she thought it went well and it was really organized, She stated that, “Meeting the teachers helped me understand the expectation that each teacher is different.” When she met her teachers, she was asked which ones made a positive impact the first day she met them. She responded that it was, “Mr. Poll and Mrs. Keller-Peacock, because Mr. Poll was really nice and he seemed chill, and then Mrs. Keller-Peacock just seemed really passionate about the class and her teaching.” When she came back to school, she started forming more opinions on her teachers and getting to know them better. She got to see their teaching styles and find out what teachers are more fit for her learning style during class. She claimed that, “I liked most of them, like guided notes and examples help. So it’s pretty easy. It helps me because I can look back on my notes if I don’t understand what’s happening during class.” She stated that she plans to maintain a good relationship with her teachers during the school year by communicating with them, for example, asking for help whenever she’s confused. Overall, she believes that meeting her teachers went good in her opinion.
