Christian Canarte, junior; who started as a freshman during spring season, is now on the varsity football team. “This varsity game of the season left us a chance to have some fun,” he exclaims. The student section was packed, and the energy was ecstatic with everyone decked out in red, white, and blue following the first theme which was America. He said, “the student section just made everything better.” Student tailgate was definitely a big factor when it comes to cheering and having school spirt. This Seahawks vs. Anclote sharks game started off with a lead in points for the Seahawks. A strategy that helped us take this massive win home was, “pulling out guards and tackles.” Halfway through the game, the Seahawks were already winning 56-0 so the outcome was pretty much decided by this point. Football is one of those sports where the work you put in and the strategies used define the game. Dedication goes hand and hand with this. Christian says, “the biggest thing to get to where I am now is determination. I’d be lying if I never thought about slacking off, but in the end hard work and dedication pays off.” The football team has had to practice a good amount in the blazing sun which takes dedication and hard work. Seahawks will be traveling to Seminole and taking them on at 7:30 on September sixth. The final score against Anclote was 63-6, which is nothing but a positive outcome showing the determination and hard work for the score Christian and his team earned. Throughout the rest of the 2024 football season, their hard work and positive attitudes will help their final outcomes, and hopefully more and more wins will be coming for the Seahawks.
