Mariano Quiroga is a Senior at Sunlake High School. Mariano has said, “I’m liking my senior year so far. It’s not much different from my other years but I have enjoyed outside school events more, like parking spot painting or football games due to them being my last.” Speaking of football, he ended up going to Sunlake’s first football home game of the year. The result was an extremely comfortable win with and end score of 63-6. Mariano said, “The game was great. We stomped the other team, and the vibes were great because it was the first home game.” There were many good parts about the game but the moments that stood out to Mariano were, “Being able to talk to every group from school.” Football is a huge sport in High School and is always a staple. At all of our home football games, we do tailgates about an hour before the game starts. There is usually food, games and lots of people there. Mariano did not end up going to the tailgate for the game, but still enjoyed an exciting night of football and friends.
