Freshman year is a very new chapter in anyone’s life, but Alexia Slaga is one of the many incoming freshman handling it like a champ. Freshman Orientation has made her super excited for the upcoming year. She expressed how much enjoyment she had participating in all the activities Sunlake had in store for her. Alexia exclaims, “I thought it was amazing doing different things like art, crafts, and other different activities.”
Alexia went into Freshman Orientation having a general idea on what she was interested in joining. She is mainly focusing on sports as she lists the many sports including, “… volleyball, basketball, and tennis.” Alexia is also very thrilled to try new things! Despite her not being currently involved in anything at Sunlake, she definitely took some time to explore different extracurriculars. Freshman Orientation gave her insights on other ways she could be involved in what Sunlake had to offer. Alexia mentions, “I’m interested in doing weightlifting, so I’ve been working out lately!”
Freshman year can be a whirlwind for anyone, but Alexia stays optimistic by focusing on all the new upcoming opportunities. She looks forward to the many memories she will make this year and throughout her high school experience!
