On the first day of school, Sunlake High School had its annual Senior Sunrise where, Isabella Becker, Senior; got to participate! Isabella explained how, “Senior Sunrise is a fun way to start the first last day of school. It symbolizes the beginning of the end and is a fun way to get people excited for a new school year.” But not only did Isabella partake in the exciting sunrise this year, but her mom joined her! Isabella’s mom, Megan Becker, took on the task of, “making the senior breakfast banner, as well as serving breakfast the morning of.” For Isabella, “It meant a lot that [Isabella’s] mom was able to help organize the event, To see how much time and work that our moms put into making sure we had a fun and memorable time.” The best part was Isabella was more than happy to share the time with her mom! She said, “It made the experience more memorable, we don’t usually have out moms participating in school events like that, so it definitely made it a better experience.” For Isabella, Senior Sunrise was extremely memorable. Not only did she spend the time with her mom, but also her friends! Isabella explained, “I have a friend group of five girls and our moms bought us all matching first day of school shirts. We took a picture in those shirts in front of the senior banner, so that was definitely memorable.” Overall, Isabella, her friends, and her mom all made Senior Sunrise that much more enjoyable!
