Hold on to your seats Seahawks because the Homecoming pep rally was a bit too rough. For Sadey Mathis the event was a little wilder than expected. Sadey is a Junior here at Sunlake and she eagerly volunteered for the musical chairs event. “My friends had encouraged me to do it, so I did. It was kind of random for me.” After many rounds of circling the chairs, Sadey emerged as one of the last two contestants. She went for the final chair and was hit by a tsunami of football players. “I can’t even explain it. I was just fighting for the chair, because I was not about to give it up.” When the rubble cleared and the dust settled, Sadey was found still clinging to the chair. “First of all, I 100% won, there is no debate, I was the winner.” Sadey is thankful for everyone asking if she is okay and thankfully she did not receive any injuries. “Also thank you Ms. Merlin for saving me from the dog-pile of stinky football players, I greatly appreciate it. Go Seahawks.” This by far Sunlake’s wildest pep rally.
