School is a place that serves many purposes. It’s a place to socialize, explore the opportunities around us, and above all learn new things. The classes we choose allow us to tie in all the aspects of school into one room. Whether it’s through online school or an in person class, there will always be something new to learn.
Camila Perez Alvarez; Sophomore, learns plenty of things in the span of just fourth period alone. Camila is enrolled in, “three different online classes,” which include, “Algebra 2, ASL 1, and Spanish 3.” She prefers e-school to in person teaching, “if it’s one class,” but does not feel like she has, “enough time to have three different classes in one period and get all that work done,” because of the workload that comes with three classes online and the other five periods that she has in person. Despite all this, Camila, “looks at the lessons, takes notes, and makes sure to review,” to succeed in those classes. At the moment, she is learning, “different cultures,” in Spanish, “rational expressions,” in Algebra, and “food signs,” in ASL. When something more difficult comes along, she will be sure to, “ask friends and teachers for help,” to make sure she is at her absolute best.
