In a world where challenges and hardships arise everyday, First Priority stands out as a beacon of hope and community for students. Founded with the mission to help young people share the message of Christ in schools, First Priority empowers students to take an active role in their faith and provide support to others. Maggie Chauncy, a senior at Sunlake and a 3rd year member of the club, says First priority, “gives hope to a community of people where they can experience Jesus.” They gather every Thursday in the cafeteria and participate in games and snacks before jumping into many wonderful discussions about different verses in the bible. Their meetings only last till about 2:30pm, but even with the short amount of time they have, they manage to inspire and help students through life. Thomas Vizzari (sophomore) says some of his best memories are when, “people share their testimonies.” He stated, “I love hearing what others have to say.” The kids in the club are super open, which shows how First priority builds community among students. In an age where loneliness and isolation are common, this club creates connections that extend beyond just social interaction. So if your ever feeling lost or in need of support, First Priority welcomes you with open arms and beautiful hope.
