The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club at Sunlake High School serves as a launching pad for aspiring entrepreneurs, fostering leadership skills and networking opportunities among students. At the meeting, when asked what inspired her to join FBLA, Akira Charlton, Freshman, stated ” I feel like FBLA would look good on my resume and I’d like to try something new.” Akira was also asked how she thinks FBLA can help her in her future career and what skills she is looking to gain? She said it can help her with leadership and she wants to gain collaboration and communication skills from FBLA. Those are some great skills to gain and help with your future career. When questioned about some of her interests in business and/or leadership, Akira answered, “I want to have my own business or manage a business,” in addition she said, “it can show that I can be a leader and run my own business.” Showing leadership in a business can show that you’re responsible and are a good influence on the people around you. Lastly, Akira was asked what she hopes to learn from her peers in FBLA, she stated “I want learn how to connect with everybody and work together to become great leaders.” Those are some good and important skills to learn from your peers.
