Sunlake High School junior Elise Laari had a positive experience during this year’s picture day. “My experience was good during picture day. I think it went really well and it only took like 10 minutes total,” Elise said. Her photos were taken during fifth period, which was a bit unusual for her. “I just tried to keep myself looking half decent throughout the day since my pictures were at 5th period. I was kind of concerned because I don’t think I’ve had pictures that late before.”
Despite the late time slot, Elise was pleased with the outcome. “Yes, they did [turn out well]. I think they are my favorite ones so far,” she shared.
Reflecting on the school year so far, Elise described it as challenging but manageable. “It has been a lot of work, but it’s been going good. I just try to keep up with everything at the same time as doing sports,” she said. Elise is balancing her academic responsibilities along with her passion for athletics.
Looking ahead, Elise is enthusiastic about the upcoming weightlifting and track seasons. “I’m most excited for weightlifting season to start as well as track. I also am excited to go to prom this year,” she said, sharing a glimpse of what keeps her motivated as the school year continues. With picture day behind her, Elise is ready to take on the busy months ahead, staying focused on her goals both in the classroom and on the field.
