Sunlake recently helped many students learn how to go through the process of applying to different colleges. Senior Charles Millen talks about his experience at College Applications night and says, “I liked it a lot and learned quite a bit from it actually!” This was extremely important for him to learn because he has many colleges he’s going to apply for. Charles lists, “I am looking into USF, FSU, and polytechnic universities as my options.”
Charles’ primary goal for the night was to learn how to apply for the different colleges. He continues to say, “Mrs. Black showed us the college application app and details of how to apply.” Looking ahead, Charles has many plans for his time after high school. He explains, “I want to get a bachelor’s degree in business and engineering so that I can get a decent income out of college and start a business one day.”
Charles Millen wouldn’t be where he is today without the many lessons he learned from Sunlake. He reflects, “I’ve learned a couple things from Sunlake. Mainly that laziness is the worst attribute to have, you are your own worst enemy, and Jesus is lord overall!”
Overall, Charles Millen feels that College Applications Night was a great way to prepare for all that is to come!
