Sophomore London Nguyen had an amazing time going to open house this year. Open House is an opportunity for students and parents to talk and get to know teachers and visit their student’s classrooms. London went with her parents, and they got to follow her around her normal schedule to see how she is doing in her classes so far this year. She said, “I learned more about my teachers and their ways of teaching.” Going to the Open House is a great way to connect more with the student’s teachers. London also got to see a few of her friends at Open House as she went around the school. Open House helps students and parents ask questions that they have about the class and what to expect for the course, and what is going to be taught throughout the year. London said, “I do think people should go to Open House because, it’s fun and interesting, and getting to know the teachers was fun.” It is a great opportunity for students and parents to learn about the faculty and the programs that our school has to offer. There is so much to learn from going to Open House and it is highly recommended that families attend.

Katie Kraszka, Staffer
My name is Katie Kraszka, and I am a sophomore at Sunlake! This is my first year as a staffer for the 2024-2025 yearbook and school newspaper. I love writing stories about the students at our school and any events we have here. I love spending time with my friends, family and going to the gym. I am excited to work on more articles as the year continues and learn more about what goes into our school's yearbook!
Cadyn Larscheid, Photo Assistant Editor
My name is Cadyn Larscheid. I am a photo assistant editor for the Sunlake High School yearbook committee, my job with the yearbook is to take photos at school events and assign some of my fellow staffers who particularly like to participate in photography to have the opportunity to take pictures at school events as well. It is my job to set up photoshoots for sports, clubs, and other activities. I help add photos to spreads and communicate with the editor and chiefs (Ella Infanger and Sam Chacon) for assigning staffers assignments to the images I have chosen for that spread. along with all the activities I obtained by being in the yearbook, I also write stories and do interviews. I am not alone in the work I do, with the help of Daniel Crane(Photo editor) and Nathaniel Peguero(future photo editor in 2025-2026). I have been a staff member since 2023. I am a senior at Sunlake and will attend Florida Southern College and major in architecture. I have a series of hobbies that include, baking, exercising, hanging out with friends, and an expensive one; building Legos.
