Mr. Taylor, a staff member at Sunlake high school who teaches AP U.S history and honors U.S history, has been very involved in school activities over the years. Mr.Taylor has been helping out with the morning parade and contest during Homecoming week for the past few years. Mr. Taylor does not remember exactly how many years its been since he started. He said, “As long has I can remember, but I have terrible memory.” His favorite part of the parade was definitely watching the students enjoy themselves and getting to do this with his best bud, Mr. Poll. He said that this year had loads of things that improved since the last but his favorite thing was, “The snacks, I found so much food rummaging through students lunchboxes.” Mr.Taylor does not think compared to last year that much went wrong, he just thinks the school spirit was little dull on Monday. One thing that Mr. Taylor would like to see be a part of the mornings during Homecoming week are some competitions between the classes. One competition he suggested is a feat of strength where there will be weights and squat racks and we would collectively see what class can lift the most weight. Overall Mr. Taylor has really enjoyed helping the student body with something fun and entertaining during spirit week.
