Recently, Florida was hit once again by another hurricane. Tampa is normally in the safe zone during hurricanes with lots of rain and minimal damage, but Hurricane Milton came straight for Land O’ Lakes. Caleb Gray, a Freshman and Sunlake High School shared his experience after the hurricane. After Hurricane Milton hit Caleb and his family went outside to see the damage and said “The streets looked terrible, there were tree limbs everywhere. I felt awful for the people who had it worse.” Luckily for Caleb and his family, there wasn’t much damage to his home, there wasn’t any loss of power either stating that the power would flicker but not completely go out. After him and his family went around to some of their close friends’ houses to see if everyone was alright and if they could help out. “it took a few hours to help clean up the neighborhood, my family and a bunch of our neighbors banded together to help clean up all the damage.” says Caleb. After, Caleb went home and stayed updated watching the news.
