Elliana Perez is a freshman at Sunlake High School, and she recently got to experience her first of many homecoming dances. Elliana was so excited to finally get to experience a homecoming dance. She decided to run for homecoming court for fun, and ended up winning and being a part of the homecoming court with her partner Owen Stephens. Elliana stated, “I am so happy I was able to win homecoming court with my partner, Owen Stephens.” Homecoming is something everyone looks forward to every year. It is filled with so many fun events before the actual dance, including dress up days, skit, and powderpuff which Elliana also participated in. The excitement from the week filled with so many fun events and activities brought Elliana so much built up excitement by the time the actual dance came around. Elliana spent all day getting ready for the dance. She was so excited! Elliana ended up having so much fun at her first ever homecoming. Although Elliana had a lot fun she stated, “I wish the song choices were better.” Elliana is so happy she was able to win homecoming court and can not wait for next year’s homecoming dance- hopefully with better song choices.
