Sunlake’s annual Homecoming Dance was an amazing event for all who attended. One of the many students at the dance, sophomore Chloe Rowley spent her night dancing and laughing with friends. “It was really fun, I went with my friends, and my boyfriend, and all of my friends dates.” Chloe thought that the gym had been set up really well, but it was a bit lackluster compared to other years. “I liked the food, that was still good, but the decorations didn’t look as good, I didn’t really think the theme made sense either,” Chloe explained. The dance was fun, but it was long, and most students found themselves leaving early from the dance to go to dinner or hang out with friends somewhere. Chloe and her friend group of eight went out to Chili’s after a little while at the dance. “At a certain point the music just kind of gets bad, and everyone got really tired. So, we decided to go out to eat because we thought it would be fun to go to Chili’s.” After the dance, Chloe reflected back on the night and all that had happened. “…there were low points, but overall it was a really good Homecoming, I felt like it was better than last year cause I knew what to expect this time…last year was my first Homecoming and I wasn’t prepared, so this time I had a plan.” Chloe is happy that she went to Homecoming this year, and she’s even happier that the dance lived up to her expectations for the most part.
