Parents and their children often have an electronic issue. Families always fight over devices. Most parents struggle with their kids not getting away with devices, not getting rid of them when they are asked to.
Parents and children often fight over the electronic device issue. Kids repeatedly don’t listen to what their parents tell them to do. That may cause the issue of children not completing their schoolwork, not getting enough time to socialize, and maybe even not getting the time to eat. Being on your device for too long may also cause eye damage from the blue light. It is as well very unproductive to use it during school time. During the school lunch time at Sunlake high school I interviewed my friend Clara on this topic, and asked her the question: Is it ok for you to stay on your electronic device for the whole day? She said, “I think using an electronic device for the whole day should be avoided because it’s unhealthy and can cause lack of motivation, and things like eye damage from the blue light, I don’t think my parents would be happy with that too.” Electronics can be very bad and damaging for you. To get an adult opinion I interviewed my mom asking the same question: “It’s important for me because I think that it can cause damage to eyes, and I also think that when a person is on their electronic device for too long they don’t get as much time to socialize, and do their school work.”
Phones can also be used for wise usage, with mostly parents don’t mind. It can be wise to use it for school assignments or academic research, which is a very good thing for entertainment and parents find this idea wise. I interviewed my friend, and she spoke: “I think you should go on your phone about five hours a day because it can be used for academic and work along with entertainment without over doing it, and my parents are absolutely fine with me using my phone for academics.” Electronic devices are not always bad, they can also be helpful, and most parents don’t have a problem with that.
The issue of electronics between kids and parents is many-sided. Having concerns about screen time can have a big impact. Families can find agreement in between by making rules, policies or doing something together without a phone.
