Thanksgiving break was full of excitement for Sunlake High School senior Izabella Kullman. Like many students, she was looking forward to recharging and spending quality time with loved ones. “I was so excited because I needed a break from school to just have fun,” Izabella shared. Her week included a mix of family time, competition, and fun outings with friends. The holiday kicked off with a Friendsgiving celebration. “Some family friends came over, and we had a Friendsgiving,” she said. The gathering was filled with good food, laughter, and a chance to connect with people she cares about. But Izabella’s break wasn’t all about relaxing. She also competed in a wrestling tournament in Palm Coast at Flagler High School. Wrestling is one of her passions, and she enjoyed representing her team during the event. To wrap up her break, Izabella spent time with her friend group at the Citrus Park Mall. “We went to the mall to shop and enjoyed the arcade,” she said. When asked about the highlights of her break, Izabella summed it up perfectly: “I planned to hang out with my friends and family and eat a bunch of food.” It’s clear Izabella made the most of her Thanksgiving break; balancing fun, competition, and meaningful moments with friends and family.
