Sunlake High School senior Addison Titchener recently shared her thoughts on balancing academics and downtime over the winter season. “I only had one midterm, so it wasn’t too bad,” Addison said with a smile. “I ended up studying a lot for my only one, but it ended up not being too bad.” Her determination to stay on top of her studies reflects the commitment many Sunlake students show during exam season. When it came time to unwind, Addison didn’t hold back. Over winter break, she hosted a Christmas party with her friends, creating a highlight of the season. “It was a lot of fun, and I really looked forward to it,” she shared. For Addison, the time spent with friends was just as valuable as traveling, even though she stayed close to home this year. “Although I didn’t travel anywhere this year, I still had plans with friends, so my break was well spent,” she reflected. Addison’s experience is a reminder that whether tackling midterms or making memories with friends, finding balance is key. Her story inspires fellow students to make the most of their time, both in and out of the classroom.
