Isabella Gray, a junior in the Creative Writing Club, has always had a passion for storytelling. Her interest in writing stems from her vivid imagination. She said, “I’m not really sure what started my passion for writing….it probably stems from my crazy imagination… I get to create new worlds, go on fantastical adventures, and I get to inspire people through words.” She added, “The feeling I get when writing is indescribable. If I’m being completely honest, it feels like magic. I get to create entire worlds and characters in my head and bring them to life through words. In my opinion, you can’t get more magical then that.”
This year, Isabella and her friends founded the Creative Writing Club as a way to bring writers and together and establish a community where they all share the same interest. “I’m the president of the club, my friend Naomi is the vice president, and my friend Hailey is the secretary. Ms. Ramos, the AP Research, AP Lang, and AP Lit teacher, is our sponsor,” she shared. They meet every other Friday from 1:50 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Ms. Ramos’s room, and Isabella plans out multiple different activities for each meeting. Members can also choose what they want to do based on where they are at with their writing. “Since our club is brand new, our membership is rather small. Most of us dabble in various forms of writing, but for many of us our main focus is novels,” Isabella stated. Her way of making stories from her imagination makes her stand out in the Creative Writing Club.
