Winter break is the break many students are very ecstatic about. The three weeks between Thanksgiving break and winter break are a difficult and exhausting time for students with heavy end-of-semester workloads and final exams. One such student is senior, Priscila Garcia. Priscila had only two finals this year in Forensic Science and AP Government. While it was less than previous years’ finals, they were still stressful. With her exams completed, Priscila is very excited about the winter break. She plans to hang out with her friends and see some of her family. When asked what she hopes to do this break Priscila said, “I hope to be able to take more photos during the break. It’s something I enjoy and will also help me improve my photography skills for my photography class.” This year Priscila’s family hosted both a Christmas Eve party and a New Year’s Eve party over at their house. That was another thing that she was excited for. When asked what part of the party she is most excited about, Priscila said “Going all out with the decorations as well as getting to see all of my family together celebrating such fun and important holidays.” During the break, Priscila is not only spending her time relaxing but is also working towards improving her photography skills for school while having fun showing that a break can be spent in various ways and not just relaxation.
