Dawn is one of the many positive players on Sunlake Girl’s Basketball team. She says, “During the games, I do really well with just keeping the energy good and always making sure to be that encouraging voice on the court.” 

Playing basketball has always been fun for Dawn. “My motivation for playing basketball is just passion I have and the thrill of the game.” She talks about how she always finds a way to bring out the excitement of the sport.

The main goal for this season is to win districts. Dawn says, “ To make a legacy, a legacy that will be remembered for years with our year on the banner.” The Lady Seahawks are ensuring that they are doing the most important thing to achieve this goal, by being there for each other. Dawn says, “All the communication and connection plays a big part in the points on the board. Everyone here has a part, everyone here is a family.”

Dawn’s team is the reason she plays and continues to fight throughout the season. She explains that she loves every second she spends with them and her favorite part is, “. . . all the fast food we eat together!”
