Sophomore Leah Osikowicz spent her winter break in Arizona. Leah and her family went to Arizona to visit her dad’s side of the family in which she has three cousins in Arizona. Leah went to Sedona where there was a lot of hiking, and she also went to a small town that had many shops and food places to go to. Out of all the places Leah went to, Sedona was Leah’s favorite place to visit. There were many paths and trails that had amazing views. Leah said, “Some paths were long but once you go to the top of the rock, the view made the walk worth it.” Leah also liked the sunsets out in Arizona. She said, “They are very bright and pretty, their bright colors light up the whole sky.” Leah went to Arizona once when she was little and finally went back for winter break which was her first time going back to Arizona in 12 years. Leah said she loved Arizona because, “it’s very different then were I’ve grown up and everywhere you go is beautiful.” Leah enjoyed visiting Arizona for winter break to see family, hiking, go to new places and experience all the amazing sunsets and views on the hikes.

Katie Kraszka, Staffer
My name is Katie Kraszka, and I am a sophomore at Sunlake! This is my first year as a staffer for the 2024-2025 yearbook and school newspaper. I love writing stories about the students at our school and any events we have here. I love spending time with my friends, family and going to the gym. I am excited to work on more articles as the year continues and learn more about what goes into our school's yearbook!
