Tate Carlson is a junior at Sunlake High School. He has said throughout high school he has enjoyed it and said, “It had its ups and downs but freshman year was an amazing experience for me. Sophomore year was more challenging and a bit of a struggle. But junior year has been the best so far and I’ve enjoyed my classes.” It has also been a good year for him academically and socially as he said, “I’ve maintained good grades and made lots of new friends while strengthening the ones I already had.” He said that junior year has been going well and he also believes his first semester was a lot of fun too. He highlighted, ” To be honest nothing stands out from the first semester. It was steady but nothing extraordinary comes to mind.” However, he is a reporter for the Perch for Sunlake and he added ” During the first semester my highlight was getting my articles published on the Perch. Seeing my hard work pay off and being able to share it with others was an amazing feeling, and, for me the best part of semester one.” Just overall Tate had some great accomplishments after coming off a challenging sophomore year and has excelled since the start of his junior year. junior year is known to be one of the most challenging and most important years of high school and Tate believes he’s doing a good job. Overall it was a good first semester of his junior year and he wanted to add one last thing saying, ” First semester overall was a great experience for me. I earned straight A’s for the first time and it boosted my GPA significantly. My teachers have been incredibly supportive, and having the encouragement of my friends and family has been a big help.”
