As the first semester of school starts to end, students tend to reflect on the semester and start to form new goals. Gabriella Hernandez, a sophomore at Sunlake, said “I feel pretty confident, because now I know exactly what I’m doing for the second semester.” Because of the challenges she faced during the first semester, she’s now prepared for what the second semester has for her. “Everything was just thrown at me, and it was so new to me, but now I am prepared for anything,” she shares.
Though her first semester was off to a rocky start, she was able to bring herself back up. “I think the most challenging part was when I went on a trip for my cousin’s wedding. When I came back I had so much schoolwork to catch up on. It was very draining and exhausting she adds. “The best part was when I started getting good grades on my anatomy tests because science was never my subject, so I felt very accomplished.” Her goal was to get all A’s last semester, and it was achieved because of all the hard work that was put in.
