On January 9th, 2025, 12th grader Heidimar Rivera and a few other students gathered for a Hispanic honors society officer meeting. At this meeting they discussed volunteer opportunities, next year’s election for the club, and field trip ideas. Heidimar said, “The meeting went smooth, all of us were in agreeance about what next steps the has to take.” This is Heidimar’s third year in HHS and her role this year is Vice president. Being the Vice president her job to help every officer especially the president, help plan or run any club events and keep everyone on task and understanding. In this club the students help volunteer at school events such as freshman orientation to spread the Hispanic culture, this also helps kids with their Spanish or kids who speak fluently Spanish with their English work. This club also does volunteer work of school grounds in different areas and for different companies. Heidimar said, “The on thing i would change about this club is the amount of members it has.” Since this club is titled as a honor society it is way harder to get in compared to other clubs. Overall she is very happy that she is apart of HHs and Hedimar said, “I really enjoy being in this club.”
