Mrs. Noffsinger is an AP World History and D.E Humanities teacher at Sunlake high school. For her, teaching is a way to have fun while working hard! Mrs. Noffsinger lives by Mark Twain’s quote, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” She believes that her job at Sunlake is to make a difference in students’ lives and do what she loves!
Mrs. Noffsinger stays entertained by many extracurriculars outside of teaching. She likes to give talks and sing at church as she is part of the Board of Directors. Mrs. Noffsinger is also amused by subjects outside of what she teaches. “Even though I am a history teacher and love learning about new discoveries and archeological finds, I am also always intrigued by new discoveries in science, especially as it relates to quantum and astrophysics.” Not only that, but she also enjoys to be outdoors near the woods or water. She describes, “My last trip, I took my family to the Oregon coast and that trip was off the charts! It is such a perfect mix of mountains, woods, and the sea.” Her travel buddies include her family, friends, and her two Labrador retrievers, Takoda and River.

She balances all these adventures around because at the end of the day it nurtures her spirit. She explains, “I have learned that relationships are the most important aspects in our lives. . . As long as you don’t forget what is truly important, you can always remain in balance.”
