
On the 5th of February, the Sunlake Seahawk boys’ soccer team delivered an unforgettable performance that led them to a remarkable victory against Steinbrenner. The excitement in the air was palpable as the players took to the field, showcasing their skill, determination, and teamwork. From the first whistle to the final goal. This game will be remembered as a defining moment in their season and a senior on the varsity team has a lot to say about it. David Gutierrez, a senior on the team was asked a couple of questions about the game. He was asked how did the team do in the game, to which he responded with, “The game went good, we won and we played very well. The score was 1-0, we won during overtime.” Another question he was asked was if their were any standout players during this specific game, and he said, “Ricky Kase and John Feeney both played amazingly, Ricky Kase even scored our winning goal.” The last question he was asked if there was any strategies the team used to secure the win, he stated, “We just had constant pressure on Steinbrenner’s team the whole time.” All in all the boys soccer team played another outstanding game, keep it up Seahawks!
