Women’s flag football has recently surged in popularity, and Sunlake High School has launched its own team. Senior Miley Falby (number eleven) joined this team won their first game against Pasco 39-0. Miley has been playing flag football since she was 6 years old so she is definitely a pro at it. Her favorite part of playing is “the excitement I get when someone on the team including myself either runs a good route, makes a touchdown or makes a good play on defense, and when I punt a Personal record on special teams.” shared Miley.

Once Miley found out they were creating a flag football team she instantly started preparing Miley explained she started “working out a lot at the gym gaining muscle and doing a lot of cardio, and just growing close with family since having a supportive family helps in sports a lot, at least for me.” Every athlete has a way of getting ready before a big game Miley shared that she will “prepare for every game by just having a smile on my face, headphones playing music mainly starting with the summer “Sweet Child O’mine” by Guns N’ Roses and eating dots pretzels and orange Gatorade.” That’s just the type of positive and uplifting person Miley is.
Being apart of this team has been such a great experience for Miley getting to grow with the team and watch them all get better. “I couldn’t have asked for a different group of girls to end my flag football career with. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to play on the first-ever Sunlake Flag football team and be a big asset to it. I couldn’t have asked for better coaches and a support system. I will definitely miss it once I graduate. “shared Miley. This is just the start for the girls’ flag football team they have much more ahead of them!”
