Senior Tyler Dunbar brought his A-game to the Boys’ Lacrosse Game against St. Pete. He explained, “I was playing on a torn ankle, so it made it a little harder to make shifty plays but overall I played well. I’m probably most proud of my ability to clear the ball that game and make sure that our offense had the ball in their hands to do their thing.” All the hard work and sacrifice paid off as the Seahawks won 15-10.
This season the boys’ lacrosse team has been really strong in all aspects of the teams. Tyler expressed, “I think our team’s biggest strength this season has been our defense’s ability to keep other teams from scoring and our offense being able to move the ball around and run the plays that our coaches have developed.”
Having a good balance of staying focused and enjoying the sport are very important aspects for Tyler. He said, “Really, what motivates me to play lacrosse is that it’s just fun, I started playing my junior year and of all the sports I’ve played I would definitely say its the one that I have the most fun with.” Regardless of all the jokes cracked during practice, Tyler is confident that his teammates will always be able to bring their best to game day and have fun winning it!
