Whether they’re heading to college, stating a career, or pursuing other passions, these graduates are poised to make their mark on the world and embark on exciting new adventures. A senior named Jared Ryder wants to talk about his journey of the four years of his life, and what he’s moving onto next. He got asked simple questions about the past and what he wants for his future, first question he was asked was how he feels about graduating soon, to which he responded with, “I feel ecstatic about graduating soon. It’s been a long four years, and I’m ready to embark on a new journey in life.” You can tell after he looks back on his high school years he’s filled with gratitude and nostalgia, from the first day as a freshmen to his final moments as a senior. The second question he was asked was what some of his favorite memories from high school, he responded with, “My favorite memories from high school are mostly from my junior year, when I had lunch with all my friends who were seniors at the time. We always had the best conversations, and I still remember them to this day. Another memory that stands out is my English class with Mrs. Fish. She was an amazing teacher who truly helped me grow as a student and a leader.” Mrs. Fish obviously had a significant impact on Jared and taught him valuable lessons which he carries to this day. The third question he was asked was what are his plans after high school and what college does he want to attend, he said, “I plan on attending a four-year university and majoring in biology on the Pre-Med track at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. (FAMU) I hope to become either a Dermatologist or a Dentist as I continue working at Chick-Fil-A to save money for college essentials I might need.” You can tell he has his whole life planned out and he’s set for what he wants and won’t quit. His best advice for anyone starting high school is to try your best no matter any situation, he also recommends taking dual enrollment or honor courses, even if they are difficult at first, they are worth it. The last question he was asked was what is he most excited for about the future, which he stated, “I’m most excited about the experiences I’ll have at HBCU and the relationships I’ll build with fellow students. Jared knows what he wants after a long four years at Sunlake High School, he’s worked so hard to achieve this for himself, and all his friends and family are proud of him, Congratulations on this new chapter of your life and you’ll achieve everything you’ve worked for here and in the future.
