The past few weeks at Sunlake High School, the student council has been putting in lots of work to make this recent prom coming up special for the juniors and seniors. Students who are planning to attend prom this year have been taking extra steps to get ready for this special event. Jack Svendgard, a senior at Sunlake is one of those people who has taken the extra steps to make sure he has the best time for his senior Prom. Jack has also asked his friend Yasmine Al-Sheleh to accompany him to the dance, even getting a tie to match with her dress. Jack has asked Yasmine to every school dance Sunlake has hosted for the past two years, symbolizing the bond these two have together is unbreakable. Every time Jack asks Yasmine to a dance he wants to make it special. This year he gathered four of their mutual friends to spell out the word “prom” with a sign that had a Dunkin’ gift card. his plans for prom include, going to the prom venue early just to get pictures at the beautiful venue our student council has picked this year. At the prom itself, Jack is expecting good music and food stating, “I am hoping for a night of unforgettable memories, with spending time with my friends, listening to good music and eating good food.”  In Jack’s opinion, at prom last year the music playing wasn’t very good and is really hoping to listen and dance to some bangers this year, ” I really hope they play some songs by Charli XCX.” Let us hope Jack gets the senior prom everyone wants.
