Lila Rhodes, Junior; had an amazing summer working at Publix. She works around three days a week as a bagger. Lila bags the groceries and also takes carts that are outside back inside. Lila wanted to work at Publix because her sister worked there. She also heard about all the benefits of working at Publix. Lila said her favorite thing about working at Publix is, “the people I get to work with, I’ve met so many nice people and it just makes my job more fun.” Lila said that the thing she has learned most from her job is that “customer service is key and to always communicate with people to avoid mistakes and misunderstandings.” She has also learned responsibility, and hard work from her job. Publix is an amazing place to work to start building up your resume and your skills in the work industry. Lila said people should work at Publix for many reasons, “it teaches you to interact with people and teaches you responsibility. It’s also very flexible, as to being a student and a worker.” Overall, there are so many reasons why people love to work at Publix, and it is a great job that people can work over the summer while students are off from school.
