Junior Diana Compitello has been at Sunlake throughout high school and had a lot to say about her thoughts going into a new year. When asked what she was looking forward to this year she talked about how she’s excited to make new friends and go to homecoming! She is excited to challenge her limits and see how she does in her advanced classes this year. When being asked what she didn’t like about going into junior year, her response was short but simple, “I feel old.”

Diana likes that there is more freedom in her classes and her teachers are more laid back than some of her previous teachers. She explained her thoughts on how she thinks the year is going to go and she hopes to keep her current trajectory through out the year. Diana has been impacted greatly by many teachers. She explains, “Mr. Lewis has made the biggest difference for me because of his teaching style and his personality. He goes above and beyond for each student!” Diana is thrilled to hang out with all her friends this school year! She describes, “I’m excited to have lunch with them and how I also get to drive this year as well!” This is just the beginning but Diana could say is hopeful for this school year and aims for it to be her best year yet.
