Breakfast Please

Food shapes everything and everyone in this world. Food shapes culture and how people react to certain issues and problems. For example, relationships involve a lot of eating out food for dates, or a lot of ice cream if they aren’t the one. A fellow junior at Sunlake High School, Gabe Armas, showed his interest in certain foods, and he really enjoys anything that you can put in front of him. When asked what his favorite type of food, (Mexican, American, Chinese, etc), he claims “My favorite food is anything breakfast. The amount of food within that group really makes it a worthwhile favorite type.” I then asked why, and he responded with “I like Barbeque because of the different styles and combinations you can make, from the food being sweet, with French toast and syrup, or savory with toast and eggs.” I asked him if he hated any certain foods, and he responded with “I really just can’t stand pickles. Everything else is great.” Pickles are pretty weird, but they sometimes make all the difference.
We all have our likes and dislikes, but some people want what some people hate. I also asked Gabe about his favorite restaurant, and if it has any meaning to him. He said his favorite restaurant is The Diner, a popular breakfast place in Orlando, Florida. He also says that when he is in the area, but he likes to go for occasion, like his birthday or getting really good grades. There are countless restaurants that are around the world, Wendy’s, 4 Rivers, Taco Bell, and Chick-Fil-A to name a few, and they all have their certain aspects that make them unique, from the special sauces at 4 Rivers or the baffling blizzard at Dairy Queen, each restaurant is its own story, and eating there, we all get a chance to read it.
