Kennedy Hedger, a junior, has her sight set on keeping her academics strong this year. One of her biggest goals is to maintain good grades throughout the year, and she knows the best way to get there is by staying on top of her work. For Kennedy, that means turning in assignments on time and making sure everything is completed thoroughly. She is determined to hold her accountable knowing that those habits will help her succeed both in and out of school.
Like many students in their junior year, Kennedy admits that one of her biggest worries is preparing for the SAT. She understands how important these tests can be when it comes to her future, and the pressure that comes with them can be stressful. Still, Kennedy is committed to facing that challenge head-on, balancing her studies with preparation and doing her best to be ready when the time comes.

Kennedy has been enjoying her time with friends. She said, “I have made some amazing friendships and I enjoy spending time with them making new and amazing memories together.” Her group of friends is some on the most caring and funny people she knows.
Even though there are plenty of positives to bring a junior, Kennedy is honest about some of the challenges that come with it. One thing she doesn’t enjoy as much about the year is how crowded some of her classes can be. Large class sizes can make it harder to concentrate and get the one-on-one attention that students sometimes need. Despite that Kennedy stays focused on her goals and doesn’t let those frustrations stop her from pushing forward.
Beyond her academics, Kennedy is also looking forward to the fun side of high school. She hopes to make new and amazing memories this year- ones she can look back on with pride and happiness. For her, junior year is not just about grades and tests, but also about enjoying the experiences that make high school special.
Overall, Kennedy is motivated, hardworking and is determined to make this year one that will be remembered for years to come.
