Junior Aiden Bardill is growing into all his new responsibilities! He has many new goals for this school year, including maintaining his good grades and GPA, expanding his music theory knowledge, and learning about planes in Civil Air Patrol (CAP).
Some of his hobbies feed into these goals, such as his love for playing the guitar and songwriting, as well as his interest in planes and how they work. Aiden’s passion for playing the guitar has been going on for 5 years now. He has learned and created many pieces on the acoustic and even electric guitar, including the “Master of Puppets” solo by Metallica! Furthermore, his love for planes and how they work has got him into the Civil Air Patrol program here at Sunlake. In this class, he’s excited to learn about, “. . .the curtesy and the customs of the Air Force, as well as advancing my aerospace education.” He has also joined more clubs for the new year, including National Biology Honors Society, in which his friend, Serafima Chebotavera, created this year, and he is fulfilling the role as historian. During this summer, Aiden and his friends, including Lexis Vitale and Serafima, worked hard to help build up the Honors Biology Club and the National Biology Honors Society, which both invite many new students to explore all the different fields that biology has to offer. “These clubs offer exciting new opportunities to be more involved in my school and the community, and I’m excited for the year to come in these clubs.” He has also joined Key Club, eager to volunteer and contribute to the Sunlake community.

Aiden is planning to reach these numerous and exciting goals, “by striving for success and working hard to organize my schedule.” Overall, Aiden is very excited for this new year, and has a lot of plans set for him. He excitedly says, “this year is going to be a great year and I just know it!”
