Adrienne Martin is a senior this year and started at Sunlake High School at the beginning of last year. She said her main goal for this year is, “I want to stay on track with my grades and enjoy my last year of high school. I’d also like to excel in my sport and finish off high school basketball strong.” This is important because it shows the value she has in her learning career and commitment to a continuous activity. Her inspiration for this goal came from her grandpa. She states, “My grandpa has always inspired me to do well in school; he’s one of the smartest people I know so I want to be successful like him.” Adrienne hopes to continue her goal for grades after high school into college.
A key part of being an upperclassman is the wisdom one learns from failing and experiencing life. After four years of being a highschooler people tend to learn some tips for achieving what you set your mind to. A few tips from Adrienne
Martin are, “to stay on top of homework and ask questions.” and “Athletically, I just want to give 100% always.” These are simple yet important ways to achieve greatness in life and academics.
Going to college and getting a higher education is a way to attain her goal in the future. A way for her to find a way in a work force is by attending her dream school. She really wants to go to LSU because of the culture and what the school offers. She states “I lived in Louisiana and I love the culture.” and ” I toured that school and it is simply amazing they also offer every major I’m interested in” Finally, the whole reason she chose this goal is so she can become a hard worker ”which is a great trait.” The pressure that comes with senior year can be overwhelming. However, if you have some set goals ahead of time it can make your experience less stressful and easier.
