Being part of NHS means you are a role model for the community and people look to you for help often and student Lexi Vitale is no exception to this. Junior Lexi Vitale is a hard working student who excels in all of her classes, Lexi enjoys using her free time to help her fellow students by tutoring for Biology. Lexi has always had a passion for Biology and that is what sparked her interest in helping people because she wants everyone to enjoy Biology as much as she does.

Lexi was motivated to join NHS because she wanted to be part of the great community that is the national honor society. NHS has helped Lexi be more involved in her community and has given her many opportunities to help students and people in need. NHS has helped Lexi grow as a leader in many ways such as pushing her to do things she hasn’t and pushing her to do projects that help her community. One of the activities she enjoys most in NHS is tutoring kids in many different subjects. Lexi’s most memorable experience with NHS was setting up the 9/11 memorial in the lawn at school. Some of the things that Lexi does in NHS include setting up donations, clothes drives. Lexi is excited to help do Trick Or Treat around the track this year. Lexi loves contributing to her community and making an impact and being in NHS has helped her do that. Lexi gave some advice for new NHS members and people thinking about joining and that was ” You only live once so if you want to make a difference and an impact definitely join NHS because you get to help everyone and it looks good for collages if you plan on going to collage.”. Lexi summed up her NHS experience in to one sentence and she said ” Giving to the community in every way.”. Lexi talked about how she was scared going into NHS but she also said that those feelings are natural and just because someone is scared to do something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.
