There are many different students enrolled here at Sunlake. Everyone is just going about their daily lives in classrooms and throughout the halls: talking with friends, rushing to class, working on assignments, and more. However, while the routines may seem similar, each student has their own unique likes, troubles, and methods of getting their work done. Now, here’s the view of Sunlake through the lens of one student in particular: Orion Bosley.
Orion is a senior who stands out among the crowd, not just because of his academic achievements but also for his dedication and interest in his subjects. His classes this year consist of AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Government, English 4 Honors, and Intro to Engineering, and he’s able to maintain straight A’s in all of them. Orion achieves high grades with ease and can coast through most of his schoolwork without breaking a sweat.
He knows that academic success takes more than just talent and natural ability; it requires perseverance and dedication to getting it all done. Orion has said that he’ll often finish most of his work early in the class period and begin finishing homework from other periods. If there’s no work due, he’ll even begin working ahead, just because he can.
Not only is Orion very studious when it comes to his schoolwork, but he is reportedly nice to hang around with in general, according to his friends and classmates. Orion is always able to explain the material to his classmates if they don’t understand it at first. If enough people in his class have finished their work for the class period, they all will even play card games if there is enough time. Not only is he helpful when it comes to understanding difficult topics in AP Calculus but is also really good at card games like BS and Rummy, according to his tablemates.
Orion plans to attend the University of Florida after graduation, where he hopes to major in engineering. When interviewing him, he said, “Keeping my grades this high hasn’t always been easy, but it’s always been possible. That’s what pushes me to keep going.” His outlook sets an example of what all Sunlake students should strive to be: determined, hard-working, and always aiming for greatness. As we look around Sunlake, it’s clear Orion is part of the group that aims not only to understand the material, but to be proficient in it and excel.
