Ian has a had a very eventful summer, spending this time to hang out with his friends playing Pickleball and even participate at local Pickleball tournaments, he also took weekly classes at Pasco-Hernando State College, this year Ian Laari is a senior, and recently was featured on the Court Vote shortly before this year’s Homecoming, along with this he is a member on Skit, and was interviewed on why he joined skit, and if he had seen anything that happened recently that has caught his attention.

Ian Laari, class of 2026, has consistently participated in Skit for the past three years, he says he enjoys Skit because of the overall environment with the people who surround him, forming new relationships with those people creating, and rehearsing new performances, he also appreciates the supportive audience full of family, staff, and students who he gets to perform in front of and it is this experience that keeps him coming back each year. This year during Skit Night which took place on 9/17, Ian participated as a game show host and led the football team through different challenges related to the Grammys. When asked if he had noticed anything in Skit that caught his attention, Ian said he noticed a trend in member who join Skit, he states ” I think the most noticeable trend in recent years with skit is the rise in turnout among the new classes. I remember my freshman year and watching my brother’s own freshmen year have 10-20 years participating in skit.” Ian further details that this freshmen class of 2029 had more students acting and more extras to aid in behind the scenes work and ensuring that all their skits turn out smoothly.
Overall, Ian is a very well-rounded student and during the interview he provided a lot of detail for the questions given.
