On August 15th, Sunlake had the first football game of the season. A junior, Mara Crockett is here to tell us everything she witnessed watching from the sidelines! She started off by stating who she went to the game with, it was junior, Sophia Soto, junior, Hannah Whitehead, junior, Carli Diemler, and junior, Mia Walter. She saw many more of her friends there that night as well. Mara was asked what is her favorite part of football games, she responded with, “I absolutely love seeing all my friends all dressed up as the theme, also spotting my friends that I don’t have classes with. I believe that football games are aa great way to go out with your friends and meet new people from your school and even other schools.” You can clearly tell a lot of people, including Mara love dressing up and participating in school spirit, they even take photos to commemorate the event. According to Mara, something unexpected happened while she was there, her friend junior, Patrick Hall, and sophomore, Gavin Lantzy brought a bubble machine during the game, and used them! Another thing is that Mara really brought her seahawk

pride by saying that one of her other amazing memories about this game is that when Sunlake’s football game scored a touchdown, everyone in the student section got super excited and everyone was screaming for joy. Other than that Mara agreed she would go to more Sunlake games and maybe even go to football games from another school. She loves the atmosphere Sunlake brings and the fact everyone always goes all out for these games.
