Lillian Gaskins is a senior at Sunlake High School. Lillian is a student-athlete who is a part of Sunlake’s Volleyball team. Lillian has been playing volleyball for 5 years. She also plans to continue playing volleyball in college at a school in Georgia called Piedmont University. Last week, Lillian had a very fun and busy week balancing school, sports, and hanging out with friends. On Monday, Lillian had gone from skit to volleyball to the gym. On Tuesday, Lillian went to Cava for the first time since it opened and was so excited to try! Lillian really enjoyed Cava and says it’s her new favorite food place. After Cava, Lillian headed back to school for Volleyball practice. After volleyball practice ended, Lillian went to the gym for two hours. On Wednesday, right after school, Lillian had Plyometric training. After training, Lillian went to practice, then after practice, Lillian went back to the gym to get ready for her game the next day. On Thursday, the Sunlake Volleyball team defeated East Lake. Before the game, the team had some bonding with their pre-game meal, which was catered by Fresh Kitchen. Lillian states, “I love getting to spend time with my teammates before games.” Sunlake won against East Lake 3-1. On Friday, Lillian had a more fun, chill day after school. She went home, then went to the football game. The theme was Hawaiian, so Lillian dressed up and met up with her friends. Lillian keeps herself busy, but she also knows how to balance her academics and athletics.
