The club fair was an event filled with energy, where students explore tables with fun posters and ethustic leaders, gathering information about all the different clubs. It offers a unique oppurtuity for students to find new interest and be involved in the school community. For many the club fair was more than just signing up for extracurriculars it was about building relationships and friendships throughout the school. Junior Kat Chauhannn was attending the fair because she genuinly enjoyed being a part of something bigger than herself. “I want to keep exploring my interest while still in highschool.” Over the past few years, she had carefully choosen clubs that reflected her passion and goals. Kat said, “I love being a part of the community and getting my volunteers hours at the same time!” She had already joined key club and along with HOSA, the science honor society, spanish honor society, Nationals Honors society, and Art Society. Each club spoke to a different part of her. Art had always been one of her favorite elective, and this was her fourth year in spanish. Her passion for science was clear too, as she planned to pursue a science major in college. Kat’s favorite part of the fair was the chance to speak face to face with current club members. “It’s so much easier to ask questions and hear about their experiance directly.” She explained, “In order to join the clubs all you need to do is submit an application. But specifically for national honors society, you need to have specific requirements met and you could always reach out to club members to figure that out.” At this event she really wanted to encourage people to get out there and join different clubs in the school community because you never know where it will get you.
