On September 9th, the varsity volley ball team had a great win at the game against Wesley Chapel high school. The energy on the court was great! the girls work so hard, and they put so much practice in, you could defiantly see that all on the court. The team gets so much support as well. From the sunlake family all the way to the volleyball players family.

For freshman Maleah Andru this was a great moment, another win with her team! This is Maleah’s first year at sunlake as well as on the team. she is on varsity! she says, “it has been a lot of fun competing at such a high level with such amazing teammates that challenge you.” The team has been so welcoming, kind, and caring towards Maleah, she has enjoyed growing and bonding with them its like she has a second family. Maleah can not wait to continue her volleyball journey with this team and to continue the wins.

The game went so well as expected, the team was able to have a fun line switch up so that everyone could contribute to the 3-0 sweep. “we get opportunities to do things like that because our program is super competitive and we have a big bench.” The team has practiced so much and prepared for this win. At the Nike tournament sunlake was very  very familiar with the Wesley Chapel volleyball team plays and strategies, it defiantly set them up for success. Maleha and the team practice so hard, volleyball is harder than it looks. “we work so hard. No matter what we always practice with a purpose, everything is earned.” The most major thing that Maleah wont forget about this amazing game is that the whole bench was used!
