This year, Cherity decided to join the Powderpuff team for the first time. She had never been part of it before, but she thought it would be the perfect chance to try something new and different. More than that, she wanted a way to bond with her senior class in a fun, memorable way. Every year she watched from the sidelines, seeing the excitement and energy that surrounded Powderpuff, and it always looked like such a great time. She knew before graduating that she wanted to experience it for herself.
From the start, Cherity could feel how special it was going to be. The atmosphere during practices was full of energy. Everyone was loud, supportive, and competitive, but also playful and encouraging. They laughed together, pushed each other, and hyped one another up no matter what. Cherity noticed right away that it didn’t matter if you had experience or not—everyone was welcomed and celebrated for simply being part of the team. That spirit carried through all of Powderpuff, and it’s what made the whole experience so thrilling.
When it came time for the actual games, the excitement only grew. The team clicked quickly, and their chemistry showed on the field. People cheered from the sidelines, encouraged each other during every play, and celebrated even the smallest victories as if they were huge wins. The competitive side was there, but it was balanced with so much support and school spirit that it made the games feel even more meaningful.
For Cherity, the highlight of Powderpuff was when she scored her very first touchdown. The moment she crossed into the end zone, it felt like the whole team exploded with joy. Teammates and friends rushed onto the field, crowding around her, jumping up and down, and celebrating with pure excitement. That memory stood out to her more than anything else, because it wasn’t just about the touchdown—it was about the way everyone came together to share in her accomplishment.
Looking back, Cherity says joining Powderpuff was one of the best decisions she made this year. It gave her the chance to step outside her comfort zone, try something new, and create lasting memories with her classmates. For her, Powderpuff was more than just a game. It was about teamwork, school pride, and making the most of her senior year alongside the people she cares about.
